Fraternity Foodie Podcast by Greek University

Aug 24, 2022

Our next guest is Dr. Ryan McKee. He is a health and sexuality educator, a hazing prevention specialist, a researcher, and has 20 years of experience in higher education. In episode 293 of the Fraternity Foodie Podcast, we find out why Dr. McKee chose Radford University for his undergraduate experience, why he kept the hazing he experienced in the fraternity to himself, why he decided to pursue advanced degrees in Human Sexuality Education, what is the best part of being an adjunct professor, what the new research by Cimino and Thomas showed about hazing and solidarity in fraternities, whether the laws have been too lenient or if it's the judges who are lenient on the sentencing in hazing crimes, more details on his study on sexual hazing which was the first to examine the meanings of these behaviors among fraternity men, and how we can keep high expectations of behavior within fraternities and sororities despite all the hazing they are exposed to in high school, satire websites and movies, and the pro-hazing attitudes that we've seen during the pandemic.
